When to order?

At Yiamy® Studio, each order is individually created and therefore we can only accommodate a limited number of clients.

For all orders we strongly suggest to contact us 2-3 weeks (2 months for Grand Designer Cakes) in advance.

We sometimes accept last minute orders, however it is not guaranteed, especially during peak season.

What size should my cake be?

It’s a seemingly straightforward question: what size should my cake be? There are so many factors to consider before making a final decision, everything from what size portions you will be serving to how many guests will be attending your event. Below are a few suggestions for what size cake you should order according to how many guests you have, and what portion size you will be serving.


WOW your guests

Having an artificial cake is a possible solution if you want an elaborate Designer Cake to show off as a stunning centrepiece. A Designer Cake is like the exclamation point at the reception and it should be a total reflection of your style and taste. A combination of edible and artificial tiers could be an ideal solution. 

The trend in cake design at the moment is to make the tiers higher and more narrow, so the cake looks a lot taller. It will have more impact in the venue and a lot more ‘WOW’ factor. 


The first number indicates if serving 150 g slices. The second, if serving 100 g slices

How to Choose a Designer Wedding Cake 

If you have a sweet tooth and an appreciation for creative confectionary, choosing your wedding cake is likely to be one of your favourite parts of wedding planning. There’s a whole host of things to consider, including the design, the flavour(s), portion size and, of course, your wedding budget. Throughout the design process, you shall begin to realise just how much time, talent and hard work goes into each and every cake. Especially bespoke wedding cakes and cakes with intricate designs. #1 Choose your Cake Designer

Brides-to-be should absolutely begin their research online. Visit general wedding sites to get ideas as well as patisseries’ website to view images of their work. Make sure you like their style. Most good Cake Designers will be flexible to design the cake around your wishes.

#2 Get Creative with the Design

Give your Cake Designer something to work from, a colour, invite, dress detail or theme. Create a mood board. Be brave. It is by mixing and matching these various details, decorations, colours and flavours that you can begin to custom-make a design that works to your taste. Designing your cake should be fun and is a great way of making a real statement at the wedding.

#3 Be Fearless with Flavours

I encourage clients to push the flavour envelope. Why go with vanilla or plain chocolate when there’s baileys & blackcurrant, passion fruit & raspberry and other fresh unique flavours to consider? Your cake should be both beautiful and delicious. And if you can’t possibly decide, it is possible to have different flavours across different tiers.

#4 Portions Dictate Size

It’s not the other way around, the number of people you need to serve is more important than the number of tiers you think your cake should have. If your number is on the low side you can make it up with an artificial tier. To the eyes of others, it will look exactly the same as real.

#5 Book a Consultation

As all of our cakes are individually prepared,  and we devote a lot of time to ensuring that each is perfect, we are only able to take on a certain amount of orders per week and get booked up quickly. It is therefore advisable that you contact us as soon as possible. We offer a personal consultation which is held at our Yiamy® Studio in Limassol. During this time you will be able discuss your ideas so we can design something completely bespoke for your special event.

Do you have a catalog with additional samples, sizes, and photographs?

Since all of our cakes are custom-made to individual specifications, no catalog per se is available. Our website is designed to give an introduction to our style and services.


I don't see any prices. How much do your cakes cost?

It’s impossible to offer a hard-and-fast price list, since each cake incorporates so many variables. We take into account the number of servings, the complexity of diverse design elements, and particulars important to the celebrants.


What do you require to design a custom cake?

We can work with a theme, party invitation, color swatches or a photo for inspiration. However, we do not make copies of cakes from other cake designers. Your cake will not exactly match something from a photo. We take pride in designing our own cakes.


Do you offer cake tastings for a wedding cake?

We offer Cake Tasting Set (€50) to take out to try all 6 flavours. More details here


When can I schedule an appointment?

We try to accommodate everyone’s schedule, but most appointments are made during business hours, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We do not like to rush clients into making hasty decisions and we encourage research. Each order is individually created and therefore we can only accommodate a limited number of clients.

May I come to observe you at work? May I work for you?

We love to accommodate other confectionery artists and enjoy meeting professional chefs from around the world. However, because of time constraints and deadlines, we usually cannot have visitors while we create our cakes. We are, however, always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team. We accept resumes from potential employees (artistic and creative backgrounds are preferred) with previous experience in the culinary field. More details here


Do you teach classes?

Yes! We offer private workshops and online classes to those who wish to develop their cake design skills.

Refund & Return Policy

 
 

At Yiamy® Studio, we take pride in our cake designs. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds on custom cakes and other desserts. Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party it is considered "Accepted". All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our studio. Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade or general decoration design will not be honored. 

Yiamy® Studio is not responsible for orders once they leave our premises. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during your own transport, set-up or any time thereafter. Delivery service that we offer to our customers is outsourced to a taxi company and we are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transpiration. We give instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick-up.  Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly, such as cracks, smudges, melted cream, etc. 

Every order is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interpretation of our cake designer. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake designer. IT WILL NOT EXACTLY MATCH A PHOTO OF ANOTHER PERSONS’S WORK. Creating your custom order requires a lot of details and information to avoid any possible errors. Please note that we can not read your mind and there are a lot of chances that the design of your cake will be different of what you are expecting. We do not take responsibility if the color of the decoration is a different shade that you had in mind. ​

All cakes/desserts are made in a facility that uses dairy, gluten, nut and nut products. Our cakes are made from the finest natural ingredients; therefore all products must be refrigerated unless otherwise noted.
